Who we are
Attic Salt Advertising LLP is a real estate branding and marketing studio registered in Mumbai, India. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean Attic Salt Advertising LLP, and “the site” means atticsaltadvt.com and its subdomains. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described below.
What we collect
Information you give us
Every enquiry form on this site asks for some combination of your name, company or developer name, email address, phone number and a short description of what you are working on. The contact page form also asks which service you need. You choose what to put in the free-text field, so please don’t include anything confidential there — a first email is enough to get a conversation started.
If you write to us directly, call, or message us on WhatsApp, we hold that correspondence and the phone number or address it came from.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, our analytics and advertising tools record the pages you view, how you arrived, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and general details about your device and browser. If you reached us by clicking a Google ad, the click carries an identifier that lets us tell which ad produced the visit.
The site also runs a chat assistant, described in the table below. Anything you type into it is processed by its provider.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store payment details, identity documents or financial information through this website. We do not buy personal data about you from third parties to enrich what you have given us.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to prepare a proposal and run the project. This is the main reason any of this exists.
- To keep a record of who has contacted us, so that a later conversation starts where the last one ended.
- To measure our advertising. We spend money on Google Ads, and we need to know which campaigns produce genuine enquiries rather than clicks.
- To understand and improve the site — which pages get read, where people lose interest, what breaks.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations where they apply.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with other advertisers or agencies. We will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry.
Who processes it for us
We are a small studio and we use established services rather than building our own. Each of these companies processes some of your information on our instructions, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Web3Forms
- Receives every enquiry form submission and delivers it to us by email. Privacy policy
- Supabase
- Stores enquiries in our own database so we have a single record of who has been in touch. Privacy policy
- Google Analytics 4
- Site analytics — pages viewed, traffic sources, device type, approximate location. Privacy policy
- Google Ads
- Measures which advertisements lead to enquiries, including the enhanced conversions described below. How Google uses ad data
- Starways AI
- The “Ask AI” chat assistant in the corner of the site. It processes what you type into it.
- Hostinger
- Hosts the website. Its servers keep standard access logs. Privacy policy
Several of these companies are based outside India and will process your information on servers abroad. By sending us an enquiry you accept that transfer, which is necessary for us to receive and answer it.
Enhanced conversions for Google Ads
We should be specific about this one, because it involves your contact details rather than anonymous browsing data.
When you submit an enquiry form, your browser sends Google a hashed version of the email address and phone number you entered. Hashing is a one-way transformation performed in your browser before anything is sent: Google receives a fixed-length string, not your address or number, and cannot reverse it back. Google compares that string against its own equally hashed records to work out whether your visit began with one of our ads, and reports the match to us as a single anonymous conversion. We never see who you are through this mechanism — only that an ad worked.
You can stop this at source by declining advertising cookies in your browser, or by using Google’s My Ad Center and activity controls.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site sets cookies and uses your browser’s local storage for two purposes: to make the site work, and to measure analytics and advertising. There are no cookies here for social-media tracking or for selling audiences to anyone.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work — you may simply see less relevant Google advertising elsewhere. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install Google’s browser add-on.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries are kept for as long as there is a live conversation, and then for up to three years, because in this industry a developer who asked about a project in one year very often returns in the next. After that we delete them unless the enquiry became a signed engagement.
- Client project records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for as long as tax and company law require us to keep business records.
- Analytics and advertising data is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics and Google Ads, which are measured in months rather than years.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner. See below.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to tell you what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it, to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete, to erase it where we no longer need it, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to. You can also withdraw consent for any processing that relies on it.
If you are reading this from the UK or the European Economic Area, we will honour the equivalent rights under the GDPR, including the right to receive a copy of the data you gave us in a portable format and the right to object to processing.
To exercise any of these, email info@atticsaltadvt.com with enough detail for us to find your record — the email address or phone number you used is usually enough. We reply to these within thirty days, and there is no charge. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the services listed above hold your information behind their own access controls. Access to our enquiry database is limited to the people at Attic Salt who need it to do their work. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute safety — but if a breach ever affected your personal data, we would tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Children
This is a business-to-business website for property developers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we add a tool to the site or change how we use what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The version published here is always the current one.
Contact us
For anything in this policy — a question, a correction, or a request to delete your information — write to us. A person reads that inbox.
